Some of my youngest most fond memories are of being in this neighborhood with my family. From going to Lam’s Seafood Market with my mother for groceries, gathering with my extended family to yum cha at Jade Garden on the weekends, to going to work with my father at his very own store on King St and Rainier Ave nearly everyday. Although those days of helping my mother grocery shop are far and few in between now and my father is retired with his store being no longer, my heart remains in the Chinatown-International District.
