Inspired by her heritage, designer Tenzin Tsomo draws on the anatomy of antique Tibetan equestrian rugs. Studio Tenjung's collection Notations, features a diverse range of weaving experiments, echoing the drafts of a weaver's notebook.
This design is a modern reproduction of a Tibetan tiger rug, redrawn on a two panels in the shape of an equestrian rug. Titled Fable, the abstract pattern seems to illustrate a fantastical story- conjuring a nocturnal jungle where trunk-like shapes wear tiger stripes, blurring the lines between creature and forest. It's like a scene from a folktale where wild imagination roams free.
